Welcome to Danbury and Little Baddow Horticultural Society

Planted in 1895 and still growing!

Danbury is a large village near Chelmsford with a population of around 6000. Situated on a hill at 365 feet above sea level, it occupies one of the highest points in Essex. The village is surrounded by attractive open countryside and woodland, much of it owned and protected by the National Trust and Essex Wildlife Trust.

Little Baddow is an attractive rural Essex village which lies between Danbury to the south and Hatfield Peverel to the north.  The village is a haven for walkers and is well-known for its bluebell woods.  Its northern boundary is the Chelmer and Blackwater Canal, an area recognised for its natural beauty with boating, fishing, walking and other leisure facilities.

Danbury & Little Baddow Horticultural Society has over 400 members and offers interesting meetings and two Shows each year. Speakers regularly visit the Society to talk on a range of subjects and group visits are also arranged.
